Full-time job in Whistler. Earn $20 + an hour. Youth get support while gaining experience.

Ski, snowboard, bike and hike at Whistler Blackcomb with unlimited access and weekly Ride Days with our crew.
We Serve Youth Who Are Often Excluded From Opportunities
Our Housing & Employment program is for youth aged 19-27 living in BC. We work with diverse young people who face barriers to stable housing and employment, including Indigenous, newcomer, and 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.

FAQS
1) How much does the program cost?
It’s free for eligible youth living in BC. This program is here to support young people who don’t currently have stable housing or might be at risk of losing it.
2) Where will I be living?
You’ll live in a 2-bedroom apartment in Cheakamus Village (a 10 minute bus ride from Whistler Village). You’ll have your own room and will share the common spaces – kitchen, bathroom, living room, with one other person in the program - so you’ve got your own community right away.
3) Do I have to pay rent?
Once you start working, rent is $500/month utilities and wifi included. This is similar to shelter rates - but with your own place.
4) What kind of jobs will I get?
Jobs are with Whistler Blackcomb, and could include things like:
🍔 Food & Beverage (cafés, restaurants, serving guests, kitchen support)
🎿 Rental Services (helping guests with ski/snowboard or bike equipment)
🎟️ Ticket Scanning (welcoming guests and scanning lift tickets at the mountain)
🛍️ Retail (working in shops, helping customers, stocking products, cashier)
😊 Guest Services (helping guests with passes, bookings, product sales, and information)
📦 Warehouse (receiving deliveries, organizing stock, preparing equipment and supplies)
You’ll gain real work experience in a supportive environment.
5) What does a typical week look like?
Generally, youth in the program will work 4 days a week at their job (30 hrs/week)– schedules can be somewhat flexible.
Tuesdays are our outdoor programming day “Ride Day”. Every Tuesday, you get to hit the mountain with instructors - learning skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking 🤘We also do other outdoor activities like Zip-Trekking, hiking and paddle boarding, depending on the weather.
On Tuesday evenings, everyone comes together for a family-style dinner to hang out and connect
Your days off are for you to relax, spend time with friends, explore Whistler. There are staff working overnight shifts to support you if needed.
